Cotton farming is a major agricultural endeavour around northern Alabama and the cotton normally is picked in late September on into November. The picked cotton is dumped into this compactor which produces one huge rectangular bale of cotton which is then loaded onto one of these trucks and taken to the cotton gin for processing. I have often wondered just what the lifespan of one of these trucks is given that they are only used a couple of months of the year!
