Bearly used items for sale
Camden, South Carolina
January, 2006
This is a used merchandise store just around the corner from my mother's house and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to photograph this misspelling. This was taken on a Sunday so none of the goods were offered for sale since South Carolina still lives in the dark ages of "blue laws". This means that certain items cannot be sold until, I believe, after 1pm on Sunday afternoon. So far as I know these blue laws are still operative and if you go into the local Wal-Mart at 8am most areas of the store will be closed off. Groceries and medecine are saleable at that time, but most other things are not. If you want a cold adult beverage on Sunday in S.C. you're pretty much out of luck although there are some private clubs which are open for a price.
