One of my favorite place to visit is Asheville, North Carolina, but I haven' had the opportunity to go there in several years. When I lived in Atlanta I would travel there quite often and I always enjoyed this little city nestled in the Appalachian Mountains. This was, of course, well before the advent of the digital camera age and I remember vividly having taken one of my favorite cameras on this trip. It was a Linhof Technica 6X7 and it was a joy to use. Just a couple of years after I took this trip I switched almost exclusively to an 8 x 10 view camera which I used for quite a number of years.

Now I have gone to all digital cameras and, although sometimes nostalgic for the old days, I love the new technology and find myself producing more work and having more time to actually view the world around me with something of a critical eye!
