This cotton field is just about ready for harvest. The rural area where I live in north Alabama primarily grows cotton, corn, and soybeans for the commodities markets although there are small farms which supply local farmers markets and truck farmers will all manner of fresh vegetables during the summer. I do some growing myself for personal use!
